Mountain View piles up the points against Los Altos

Recap: Mountain View Spartans vs. Los Altos Eagles

The Mountain View Spartans's five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 42-13 win over Los Altos. Mountain View's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Arturo Hernandez had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also picked up 55 receiving yards. Hernandez was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards. Kevin Conway was another key contributor, throwing for 177 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Los Altos, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Mountain View will look to defend their home field on Friday against Burlingame at 7:00 p.m. Burlingame comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Los Altos, they will head out on the road to face off against Santa Teresa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Santa Teresa will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
