Soccer Game Preview: St. Francis vs. Pacific Grove

The St. Francis Sharks will head out to face off against the Pacific Grove Breakers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

St. Francis is looking to pick up the season's first win, something they couldn't quite do against Anzar on Friday. St. Francis and Anzar finished up their matchup with a 3-3 draw.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pacific Grove). They blew past Oakwood 4-0 on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Breakers with their most commanding win of the season.

They hit Oakwood with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Victor Gaspar Ojeda (2), Yeshua Erickson, and James Lowen.

The victory (which was Pacific Grove's third in a row) raised their record to 3-4-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. With that draw, St. Francis' record moves to 0-1-1.
