Basketball Recap: Lakeside Comes Up Short

Lakeside lost against Edgewood back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lakeside Dragons took a blow against the Edgewood Warriors, falling 69-21. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 735th, while the Warriors are ranked 319th).

Lakeside has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Edgewood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeside will welcome Berkshire at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Edgewood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Range at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday.
