Football Game Preview: Atlantic Trojans vs. Greene County Rams

The Atlantic Trojans are taking a road trip to challenge the Greene County Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Atlantic is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Atlantic had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 42-point drubbing they dealt Perry on Friday. The Trojans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bluejays 49-7. That looming 49-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Trojans yet this season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Greene County's offense. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of Carroll. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Greene County's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Atlantic, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-2.

Atlantic didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Greene County when the teams last played back in September of 2024, but they still walked away with a 21-17 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
