Baseball Game Preview: Bravo Knights vs. Franklin Panthers

For the second straight game, Bravo will face off against Franklin. The Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bravo's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Franklin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Bravo took an eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Franklin, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Panthers on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted against the Panthers since March 9, 2023.

David Vazquez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. Vazquez was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cristian Torres, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles and two RBI. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high.

With the loss, Franklin broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5. As for Bravo, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season.
