Volleyball Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

Hillcrest lost against Carl Junction back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hornets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13.

Lillie Moore paced Hillcrest's offense, picking up five kills. Moore got some help from KeAshza Roy and her 11 assists.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13-1. As for Carl Junction, they moved to 9-9 with that win, which also ended their four-match losing streak.

Hillcrest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 1-1 tie against Riverton on the 27th. Hopefully Carl Junction paid attention to the Hornets' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
