It was a good run, but North Atlanta unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Lambert Longhorns by a score of 33-31. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Longhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Weston Goodman, who threw for 276 yards and four touchdowns. Jack Ellenburg was Goodman's top target, picking up 120 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
Among those leading the charge was Ethan Daughtery, who threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns. 91 of those passing yards were hauled in by Nathaniel Fernander.
North Atlanta's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Lambert, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
