Conroe is a perfect 5-0 against New Caney since February of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Conroe Tigers will welcome the New Caney Eagles at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Conroe has five straight victories, New Caney has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

If Conroe beats New Caney with three goals on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Conroe walked away with a 3-1 win over College Park on Thursday.

Meanwhile, New Caney fell victim to College Park and their airtight defense on Monday. They came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 658th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 90th).

Conroe pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for New Caney, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Everything went Conroe's way against New Caney when the teams last played back in January, as Conroe made off with a 4-1 win. Does Conroe have another victory up their sleeve, or will New Caney turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
