Basketball Recap: Horn Lake Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rosa Fort on Saturday, Horn Lake came back down to earth. The Eagles had to suffer through a 67-33 loss at the hands of the Olive Branch Conquistadors. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Conquistadors recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Horn Lake now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Olive Branch, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Horn Lake will take on Wynne in a tournament on Thursday. The Eagles will be up against the Yellowjackets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Olive Branch, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Biloxi at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
