Basketball Game Preview: Mount Tabor Spartans vs. East Forsyth Eagles

Mount Tabor is 2-8 against East Forsyth since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mount Tabor Spartans will square off against the East Forsyth Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mount Tabor is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They put the hurt on R.J. Reynolds with a sharp 69-43 win on Friday. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Spartans had established a 23 point advantage.

Meanwhile, East Forsyth narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Davie 35-33. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

East Forsyth has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Mount Tabor, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11.

Mount Tabor lost to East Forsyth on the road by a decisive 44-26 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of East Forsyth's Alyssa Jessup, who went 7 for 14 en route to 16 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.
