Volleyball Recap: St. Albans Victorious

St. Albans hadn't done well against Buffalo recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Red Dragons narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bison 2-1. For the Red Dragons, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Bison walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

St. Albans had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-20, 15-9.

Among those leading the charge was Natalie Harris, who had 17 digs and one assist. Those 17 digs gave her a new career-high. Ellah Smith was another key player, getting three digs and one block.

St. Albans' victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Buffalo, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

St. Albans wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Wirt County on the 28th. As for Buffalo, they will challenge James Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
