Football Recap: Natchez Falls to Vicksburg in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Natchez unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 14-8 to the Vicksburg Gators on Friday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gators apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Erik Hutchins, Jr threw for 42 yards on seven of 15 attempts. On the ground, Chester Brown III rushed for 53 yards.

Natchez will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge South Pike at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vicksburg, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Forest Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
