Baseball Game Preview: Lompoc Braves vs. Ridgeview Wolf Pack

The Lompoc Braves will face off against the Ridgeview Wolf Pack at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lompoc is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Garces Memorial by a score of 4-1.

Jack Jones was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Ridgeview had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory.

Mason Refuerzo was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Ridgeview's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-11. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Lompoc, their win bumped their record up to 14-12.
