The Red Hook Raiders will square off against the Taconic Hills Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Red Hook is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Red Hook barely beat Rondout Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Raiders were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over the Ganders on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Raiders, who have now won three games in a row.

The team relied heavily on Joseph Virga, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Caden Heeney was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Taconic Hills suffered their biggest loss since April 28, 2025 on Wednesday. They lost 8-1 to Maple Hill. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Titans' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Red Hook's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Taconic Hills, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Red Hook has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Taconic Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Red Hook got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Taconic Hills by a conclusive 16-0 score. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
