Basketball Recap: KIPP Collegiate Takes a Loss

KIPP Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Lakeland Preparatory Lions, falling 51-10. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the phoenix this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-7 back in December of 2024.

KIPP Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Lakeland Preparatory, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

KIPP Collegiate has already played their next contest (against Memphis Business Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lakeland Preparatory will square off against Trezevant at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
