Basketball Recap: Kayden Young's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mount Juliet Christian Academy over Donelson Christian Academy

Mount Juliet Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 67-43 to the Donelson Christian Academy Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-28 back in December of 2024.

Mount Juliet Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kayden Young, who went 7 for 14 en route to 15 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Maddox Metzgar, who posted 11 points.

Mount Juliet Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Donelson Christian Academy, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8.

Mount Juliet Christian Academy will challenge Ezell-Harding Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ezell-Harding Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Mount Juliet Christian Academy likes a good challenge. As for Donelson Christian Academy, they will square off against Davidson Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
