Ashland strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took down the Clyde Fliers 35-21. Given the Arrows' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Fliers are ranked 269th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ashland's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Clyde, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ashland will venture away from home to challenge New Philadelphia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Arrows' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Clyde, they will head out to take on St. Francis de Sales at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
