The Indy Genesis HomeSchool Indy Genesis will head out to square off against the Heritage Christian Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Indy Genesis HomeSchool will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Indy Genesis HomeSchool earned a 5-1 victory over Indianapolis Arsenal Technical.

Indy Genesis HomeSchool's win was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Davin Althoff, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Lincoln Smith also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Heritage Christian came out on top against Purdue Polytechnic on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run second inning. The Eagles put the hurt on the Techies with a sharp 13-0 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by six runs or more this season.

Carson Wilhite was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Utzig, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Heritage Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

The win was the fourth in a row for Heritage Christian, bringing their record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Indy Genesis HomeSchool, their record is now 7-1.

Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Indy Genesis HomeSchool has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .493. However, it's not like Heritage Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .445. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
