NCSSM: Durham had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs by a score of 53-46 on Wednesday. The Unicorns haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Caroline Meaney went supernova, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Leira Smith, who posted 14 points and eight rebounds.

NCSSM: Durham smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Durham School of the Arts only pulled down four.

Despite the loss, Durham School of the Arts still got an impressive performance from Faith Yon, who dropped a double-double with 35 points and ten steals. Yon has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

NCSSM: Durham didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-22 victory against Chatham Charter on the 7th. As for Durham School of the Arts, they have also already played their next matchup, a 65-52 loss against Durham Academy on the 13th.
