NCSSM: Durham had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs by a score of 53-46. The Unicorns haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Caroline Meaney was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Leira Smith, who posted 14 points and eight rebounds.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. NCSSM: Durham will face off against Chatham Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Durham School of the Arts, they will square off against Durham Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 13th.
