Volleyball Recap: Lutheran Cougars vs. Parkway Central Colts

Lutheran won the last time they faced Parkway Central, and things went their way on Friday too. The Lutheran Cougars came out on top against the Parkway Central Colts by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-19, 19-25, 25-17.

Lutheran found their leader in freshman Samantha O'Day, who had 13 digs.

Parkway Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Smith, who had five digs and three aces.

Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-13 record this season. As for Parkway Central, their record is now 16-13-5.

Lutheran will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Hannibal at 5:30 p.m. Hannibal will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Lutheran surely won't give up without a fight. Parkway Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
