Basketball Recap: Camden County Comes Up Short

Camden County played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the First Flight Nighthawks, falling 76-50. The defeat continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Nighthawks: they've now lost nine in a row.

Despite the loss, Camden County still got an impressive performance from Xzavior Wiggins, who posted 24 points along with five assists and three steals. Wiggins has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Noah Chopek was another key player, putting up 14 points.

First Flight got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brody Woods out in front who scored 14 points. Woods continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Judah Carlyle, who earned 13 points.

Camden County's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for First Flight, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Camden County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-34 defeat against Northeastern on the 4th. As for First Flight, they have also already played their next matchup, a 72-52 victory against Holmes on the 1st.
