Baseball Game Preview: Boca Ciega Pirates vs. Osceola Warriors

The Boca Ciega Pirates will square off against the Osceola Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Boca Ciega has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight losses, while Osceola will come in with three straight wins.

Boca Ciega lost 15-1 to Manatee on Tuesday.

Boca Ciega saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haydin Short, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Seminole typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Osceola proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Warhawks.

Osceola also got a great performance from Brock Golden as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over 6.1 innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave Golden a new career-high.

Osceola's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Boca Ciega, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.
