Soccer Recap: Sunlake Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Sunlake and Oviedo squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Sunlake had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oviedo Lions. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Seahawks haven't been shut out since back in December of 2024.

Sunlake's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3-3. As for Oviedo, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3-3 record this season.

Sunlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oviedo, they will face off against Wiregrass Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
