Volleyball Recap: New Covenant Academy Warriors vs. Strafford Indians
New Covenant Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Strafford on Saturday. The Warriors took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.
Kiera Edwards paced New Covenant Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Edwards got some help from Addy Mouery and her five assists.
Strafford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooklynne Lumley out in front who had four digs and three aces. That's the most digs Lumley has posted over her last six matches.
New Covenant Academy's loss dropped their record down to 16-2-3. As for Strafford, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 15-1-2.
Coincidentally, New Covenant Academy and Strafford will both be playing Liberty the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
