Football Recap: Kingfisher Skates Past Pauls Valley with Ease

Kingfisher lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pauls Valley, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Yellowjackets blew past the Panthers 42-0 on Friday. The contest marked the Yellowjackets' most dominant win of the season so far.

Leading Kingfisher to victory were Brett Calamateo and Kasen Blair. Calamateo rushed for 64 yards and one TD, while Blair gained 74 total yards and two touchdowns. Those 64 rushing yards gave Calamateo a new career-high. Brody Boeckman was in the mix too, providing Kingfisher with one score.

The victory was the third in a row for Kingfisher, bringing their record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.7 points over those games. As for Pauls Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Kingfisher will venture away from home to face off against Purcell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets will be up against the Dragons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pauls Valley, they will challenge Plainview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
