Baseball Recap: Coral Glades Takes a Loss

Coral Glades has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.75 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 13-3 to the North Broward Prep Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Jaguars have lost by exactly ten runs.

Coral Glades saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cloevens Challenger, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs Challenger has posted since back in April of 2024. Brayden Hoskins also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Coral Glades and nudges their season record down to 11-5. As for North Broward Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Coral Glades Jaguars duke it out with Somerset Academy - Canyons Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Broward Prep, they will face off against Neumann at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
