Soccer Game Preview: Cleburne vs. Mansfield Timberview

The Cleburne Yellowjackets will square off against the Mansfield Timberview Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Burleson who was credited with the victory on Friday. Burleson got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Cleburne's three.

In Friday's Canine Competition, Mansfield Timberview had to take the L. They lost 3-0 to Everman on Friday. While losing is never fun, Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 784th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 215th).

Cleburne's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Mansfield Timberview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's still a better percentage than their 1-14 record this season.

Everything went Cleburne's way against Mansfield Timberview when the teams last played back in February, as Cleburne made off with a 6-0 win. Does Cleburne have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mansfield Timberview turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
