Northwest Crossroads recap October 8, 2013

Munster's Joe Jumonville rumbled for the longest rushing play in Northwest Crossroads this season in his game against Hobart last week. Jumonville scampered for 98 yards on the play and finished with 116 on the day as his team defeated the Brickies.

Andrean added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Kankakee Valley, 35-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.

Jumonville and Dom Lucito gave Munster a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Jumonville threw for 82 yards and 1 touchdown, while Lucito ran for 143 yards. Jumonville also contributed to the rushing game with 116 yards on the ground.

Hobart's Andrew Barras and Drey Devereaux led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Barras has thrown for 1,025 yards this season, while Devereaux has 36 catches for 552 yards. George Fields from Lowell leads the league in rushing with 1,066 yards.

An important game coming up in Northwest Crossroads this week will be when Leroy Marsh's team takes on the Red Devils. The Mustangs are currently in second, while Lowell is in third.

The Kougars lost to Andrean 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Joe Partin ran for 90 yards in the loss.
