Ardrey Kell had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They breezed by the Cuthbertson Cavaliers to the tune of 63-29. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 358th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Karly Glahn, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals. Imani Shelton was another key player, putting up nine points and eight rebounds.

Ardrey Kell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cuthbertson only pulled down two offensive boards.

Despite the defeat, Cuthbertson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ava Beals went 5 of 6 on her way to 15 points. Beals' evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Ardrey Kell's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Cuthbertson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

Ardrey Kell has already played their next matchup, a 65-19 win against Ballantyne Ridge on the 28th. As for Cuthbertson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 78-44 loss against Weddington on the 27th.
