Mid Valley has gone 9-1 against Holy Cross recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. Mid Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Saturday, Mid Valley made easy work of Lakeland and carried off a 12-2 win. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Mid Valley got a massive performance out of Lorenzo Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Hernandez has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Romanosky, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Mid Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive contests.

Holy Cross hadn't beaten Western Wayne on the road since May 21, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Crusaders came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 10-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Mid Valley's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Holy Cross, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.

Everything went Mid Valley's way against Holy Cross in their previous matchup back in April, as Mid Valley made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
