The Henryville Hornets will square off against the Brownstown Central Braves at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Henryville is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
On Wednesday, Henryville made easy work of Lanesville and carried off an 11-5 victory. Considering the Hornets have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kyleigh Lienhart was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, Henryville let Emma McAfee and Zailee Guthrie run wild. McAfee got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one double, while Guthrie went 2-for-3 with one home run and three runs. That triple was McAfee's first of the season. Allie McAfee was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Henryville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Brownstown Central posted their closest win since June 1, 2024 on Saturday. They skirted past Seymour 4-2.
Henryville pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Brownstown Central, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.
