Southwood and North Newton squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Southwood had to settle for second. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 7-0. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Southwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Ashba, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Southwood's loss dropped their record down to 21-11. As for North Newton, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-3-1.

As of now, neither Southwood nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
