Mountain View took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Cave City, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Yellowjackets had just enough and edged out the Cavemen 3-2 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Yellowjackets: when they faced off against the Cavemen back in March, they had to take a 12-1 defeat.

The victory made it two in a row for Mountain View and bumps their season record up to 4-6. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Cave City, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mountain View is set to challenge their familiar foe Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cave City will face off against rival Valley Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
