Volleyball Recap: Minooka Extends Winning Streak to Three

Minooka won the last time they faced Romeoville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Indians walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Spartans. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Minooka easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20.

Jayce Moore paced Minooka's offense, picking up seven kills. Moore got some help from Nicholas Boyce and his 11 assists. Moore also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Luke Kirin, racking up two apiece.

Minooka's win bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Romeoville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-19.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Minooka is set to square off against their familiar foe Joliet West at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Romeoville will challenge rival Plainfield North at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
