Last Friday, Family Christian was beaten by the Cougars 49-11. Family Christian has struggled against the Cougars recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Living Stones Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. Everything went their way against Second Baptist University-Model as Living Stones Christian made off with a 60-35 victory. That 25 point margin sets a new team best for Living Stones Christian this season.
Family Christian's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.4 points per game. As for Living Stones Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Family Christian took a serious blow against the Lions in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 49-18. Can Family Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
