Baseball Recap: Nativity BVM Takes a Loss

Nativity BVM fell victim to Panther Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 7-0. The Green Wave were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

This is the second loss in a row for Nativity BVM and nudges their season record down to 2-8. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Panther Valley, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nativity BVM will head out to take on North Schuylkill at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Green Wave's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Panther Valley, they are taking a road trip to face off against Notre Dame at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
