Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winnsboro). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Chisum Mustangs a 12-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Winnsboro's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Chisum, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Winnsboro will head out to face off against Lone Oak at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lone Oak will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Chisum, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Mount Vernon at 6:00 p.m. Mount Vernon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
