Football Game Preview: Mountain Valley vs. Madison/Carrabec

After two weeks on the road, Mountain Valley is heading back home. On Friday they take on Madison/Carrabec at 7:00 PM. Mountain Valley will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.

It was all tied up at the half for Mountain Valley and Oceanside last Friday, but Mountain Valley stepped up in the second half. Mountain Valley secured a 26-20 W over Oceanside. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (20) and coasted on those for the win.

Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Madison/Carrabec, but their most recent contest may have softened the blow. They took their matchup against Oak Hill 41-34. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Madison/Carrabec's flat performance the contest before.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 3-2. In their victory, Mountain Valley relied heavily on senior Jacob Blanchard, who rushed for 157 yards and 1 touchdown. Madison/Carrabec will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
