Softball Game Preview: Wapello Indians vs. WACO Warriors

Wapello is a perfect 4-0 against WACO since June of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Wapello and 14 for WACO.

Wapello came up short against Mediapolis on Friday, falling 13-3. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by exactly ten runs.

Meanwhile, WACO lost 21-4 to Pekin on Friday.

Wapello's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for WACO, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.

Everything went Wapello's way against WACO in their previous meeting back in July of 2025, as Wapello made off with a 9-1 win. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
