Baseball Recap: Waxahachie Comes Up Short

Waxahachie and Rockwall squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Waxahachie had to settle for second. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellowjackets. The Indians have struggled against the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Waxahachie's defeat dropped their record down to 21-15. As for Rockwall, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 29-8.

Waxahachie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rockwall, they will head out to take on Klein Cain at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Yellowjackets 2.3, the Hurricanes 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
