Allen's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Princeton Panthers 17-0. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.
Morgan Wright made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Addie King was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebecca Liu, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Allen kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Princeton only managed three hits.
Allen is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-13-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Princeton, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18-1.
Coincidentally, Allen and Princeton will both be playing Plano West the next time they take the field. The Eagles will host the Wolves at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
