Softball Recap: Six Straight Road Victories for Avonworth

Avonworth waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Quaker Valley Quakers a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Antelopes, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Avonworth's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Quaker Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
