Basketball Recap: Parkridge Christian Falls to Elite Academy in First Game of Season

Parkridge Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Elite Academy Eagles by a score of 52-49 on Friday.

Elite Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liam Burell, who posted 20 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Brown, who earned 12 points.

Elite Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Parkridge Christian will take on Donna Klein Jewish Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Elite Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Somerset Academy Key at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
