Basic needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Kenny Williams. The stars were shining brightly for the Basic Wolves in a 59-44 win over the George Washington Prep Generals on Saturday thanks in part to Williams, who went 9 for 15 on his way to 20 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.

Basic's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for George Washington Prep, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Basic and Arbor View will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Arbor View knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Basic likes a good challenge. As for George Washington Prep, they will challenge Foothill at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. Foothill will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something George Washington Prep surely won't give up without a fight.
