Recap: Vista del Lago Eagles vs. Liberty Ranch Hawks
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, a fact the Vista del Lago Eagles proved on Wednesday. They strolled past Liberty Ranch with points to spare, taking the game 50-32.
Vista del Lago got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bryan Zhang out in front who scored eight points. Zhang set a new season high mark in steals with two. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Kramer, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Liberty Ranch lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Yousef Diab, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Diab's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Wyatt Blevins was another key contributor, scoring two points.
Vista del Lago's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Liberty Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
Vista del Lago will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Downey at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st. Liberty Ranch won't have much time to rest: their next match is against River Valley at 3:00 p.m. on December 21st. Hopefully River Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday.
