Softball Game Preview: DeKalb Barbs vs. Naperville Central Redhawks

DeKalb hasn't had much luck against Naperville Central recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Barbs will look to defend their home field against the Redhawks at 3:45 p.m.

Jasmine Rodriguez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cassidy Cavazos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base.

Naperville Central played against Naperville North on Wednesday and won via forfeit.
