Volleyball Recap: Camarillo Comes Up Short

Camarillo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scorpions of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Neariah Fasavalu paced Camarillo's offense, picking up four kills. Fasavalu got some help from Monet Taylor and her six assists.

Camarillo's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Long Beach Poly, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

Camarillo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Village Christian on the 4th. As for Long Beach Poly, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Chaminade on the 4th.
