Grundy County had lost 15 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 0-11 to make it 16. They lost 8-0 to the Moore County Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-5 back in March.

Grundy County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Lowe, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Ellie Foster also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

As for Moore County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6. Considering they have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

On Moore County's side, Kinsley Miller tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Miller has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Savannah Rose was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Leigh Ross, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grundy County will host Signal Mountain at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Moore County, they will welcome Marion County at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
