Travis Clifton posted a new career-low in hits on Wednesday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Clifton's strong effort led Kingsburg over Immanuel and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
